That lighter aluminum allows the F-150 to have a higher power-to-weight ratio and tow up to an available 13,200 pounds. This aluminum body is paired with a newly-designed fully boxed high-strength steel frame that uses stronger steel and larger cross-sections than previous F-150 frames.
