Fall is here and that means itā€™s time for our favorite seasonā€™s events to start. If you are looking for some of the best fun runs and races coming up, then donā€™t worry because we have done the research for you. Follow this list to find out where to race your way into fall in San Antonio.Ā 

Hallowine Run 2019

The spectacular CulinariaĀ Hallowine RunĀ will be taking place this year on October 26. Head out to The Shops at La Cantera for some awesome festive fun. You can celebrate Halloween by donning your best costume and joining in on the fun. The run will be 4 miles with plenty to do afterward. They will have great food, drinks, and more. Oh, and donā€™t forget to sign the kids up for the Little Monster Dash. They can walk this one, which is open to kids ages 11 and younger. You still have time to register and receive your race packet with all the information you need and your t-shirt! Visitors are welcome to this event as well, so invite your friends and family for a day of fun.Ā 

Celebrating Life 5K Race

On Saturday, November 2nd, you can join in on theĀ Celebrating Life 5K Race. The race will take place from 8 a.m. until noon at Mission Park South. Runners will receive a commemorative t-shirt, participation medal, and even a reusable water bottle. You can get your face painted by Day of the Dead makeup artists for some extra fun. The major perk is that the first runner to cross the finish line will win a trip to Mexico Cityā€™s Marathon taking place in 2020!

Dia de los Muertos 5K Run

Huarache Turbo will be hosting their 9th annual Dia de los Muertos run/walk on Saturday, October 26th at 5 p.m. You can join in for some fun including the race itself, costume contest, and tons more activities. Best costumes win cash prizes! You can save some money by registering early, but they will also accept the $40 admission on the day of the event. Help celebrate the day by taking part in this awesome race dedicated to the traditional Mexican holiday. You will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal when you cross the finish line.

The Great Amazing Race

This family-friendly event will take place on November 10th at 2 p.m. The Great Amazing Race is always an exciting adventure for everyone that participates. Team up with your favorite running partner and race into fall with some teamwork. There will be a 1.5-mile course filled with different physical and mental challenges. Participants of all ages are welcome with age groups ranging from pre-k to 40 and older.

Trails for Tails 5K

Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare is planning a 5K race on Saturday, November 9th from 8 a.m. until noon. The event will take place at McAllister Park with proceeds going to help rescue and provide for homeless pets in the area. You can even bring your four-legged friend along for this one and let them mingle and get some exercise.
